The Cole Collection of fine china draws inspiration from architectural details and decorative designs found in the V&A Refreshment Rooms, an innovation of the V&A's first director, Sir Henry Cole (1808-82). Opened in 1868, they were the first of their kind in the world. Each piece combines beautiful elements from the cafés interiors with classic cobalt blue to create a timeless collection.
