Cork is an ideal material for a trivet because it has a high resistance to heat and low conductivity to ensure your work surface and table is well protected. It is also resistant to absorbing liquid, so spills can be wiped away.

Best of all this trivet has a small magnet in the centre, so the trivet will attach to any pan with a magnetic base, which is most pans suitable for use on an induction hob.
